Business Desk Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 10, 2026

Business Desk is a private software tool. It is used only by the owner of The Stoa Letters and The Forgotten Almanac YouTube channels to manage those two channels. It is not offered to the public, and it has no other users.

YouTube API Services

Business Desk uses YouTube API Services. By using Business Desk, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service: https://www.youtube.com/t/terms. Google's Privacy Policy also applies: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy.

What information Business Desk accesses

When the channel owner connects a channel, Business Desk asks Google for permission to:

• read the channel's public video data and statistics, such as titles, views, likes and comments counts;
• read the channel's YouTube Analytics reports, such as watch time, average view duration, average percentage viewed, subscribers gained and traffic sources;
• upload videos to the channel, set their titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails and scheduled publish times.

Business Desk does not read the content of comments, private messages, viewer identities, or any personal information about viewers. YouTube Analytics data is aggregated by YouTube and does not identify individual viewers.

How the information is used

The information is used only to schedule the owner's own videos and to measure how they perform, so the owner can decide what to make next. It is not used for advertising, and it is never sold, rented or shared with anyone.

How the information is stored

• Google's access tokens are stored in Windows Credential Manager on the owner's own computer.
• Statistics and analytics are stored as files on the same computer.
• Nothing is stored on any other server, and no copies are sent to third parties.
• Business Desk does not use cookies, does not serve ads, and does not let third parties serve content or ads through it.

How to revoke access

The channel owner can revoke Business Desk's access at any time on Google's security settings page: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. Revoking access stops all reading and uploading immediately. Stored statistics can be deleted from the owner's computer at any time.

Retention

Video statistics are kept as long as they are useful for measuring the channels' performance. Access tokens are kept until access is revoked.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
